One of my moving experiences in the Christian Faith has been praying with others, years ago while participating in Bible Study Fellowship I was asked to become a children’s leader. In my first leaders meeting, the leaders gathered and prayed on their knees. This process I was not used to and it was never taught to me but I find it refreshing and a bond with others that is unique. The scriptures state, “Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker,” - Psalm 95:6.
“The men who have done the most for God in this world have been early on their knees.” - EM Bounds
Do you think prayerful kneeling is needed in the church today?
In James 4, here is my outline of this passage.
Believers should be humble in relationships with others and in relationship with God.
Humble submission to God does not boast or slander anyone.
